What a way to kick off the Holiday Season! We were invited to see the So Much Christmas celebration that is happening now at Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, TN. Visiting during the Christmas season has become a tradition of ours and the kids adore it. There is so much to see and do whether you are staying in the resort overnight or not.

We stayed in a fifth floor Cascades Atrium view room. The atriums are all lush with greenery, trees, Christmas lights and decor. It’s so calming to sit on the balcony and just take in the sights.

After checking in and getting settled, it was time to start the activities! We love strolling the atrium trails to find the Christmas decor and work on our Snowman Scramble Scavenger Hunt. You can pick the booklets up in the Delta Atrium at the Delta Riverboat Christmas Cruise stand. It’s so fun to explore and find the missing clues. Afterwards, you get a prize for completing the booklet!

While exploring the Delta Atrium, we enjoyed the Delta Atrium Light & Fountain Shows! It’s so pretty and calming to watch the water dance.

One thing that is amazing about Gaylord Opryland is no matter how cold it is outside, you can head inside and enjoy warmth and stay dry while being around gardens and trees.

Another fun amenity that is a must is SoundWaves Experience! Here you will find a tropical environment full of water activities, great tunes and delicious eats! We grabbed lunch from Decibels and headed into the water. The kids would stay in the Up Temp Rapids River and the Down Tempo Lazy River all day if they could. Be sure to check out our blog here for more details on SoundWaves.

After convincing our kiddos to take a break from SoundWaves, we cleaned up and headed to enjoy the Delta Riverboat Christmas Cruise. It was so pretty riding at night to see all the Christmas lights, trees and atrium glowing.

We bundled up and headed over to Pinetop for a viewing of the Merry & Bright Skating Spectacular. We enjoyed Christmas music and were amazed at the beautiful tricks and talent of the ice skaters.

Once the show ended, the kids were excited to ice skate themselves and enjoy the other Pinetop activities. Some of our favorite Christmas themed activities we loved doing were Ice Tubing, Snowball Build & Blast, Bumper Cars, Ice Skating and the Merry & Bright Skating Spectacular. They also offer Ice Skating Lessons!

Off to ICE! featuring Frosty the Snowman™ we went. This was a mesmerizing experience, especially knowing it’s created with hand carved sculptures of ice.

Once complete we enjoyed some delicious Auntie Anne’s pretzels for a treat and did some shopping in the adorable Christmas themed gift shop.

The kids finished up a few more fun Pinetop activities then we were back to the room to warm up and get some delicious dinner delivered with thanks to the
A la Carte (in room dining) service.

After a great nights sleep, we were off to Cocoa Bean for some tea and Bravo Gelato for a treat while we enjoyed more Christmas decor and shopping inside Gaylord Opryland Resort.

To finish our stay, we headed to see the gorgeous large display of the Nativity Scene. We have had the pleasure of seeing it at night and during the day. Both of are a must see when visiting.

We are even more excited for the Christmas Season now thanks to our time at Gaylord Opryland Resort.

This sounds like such a fun experience with the kids, especially the ice area with slides.

This looks like such a great place to celebrate the holidays! I’ve heard that the decorations are beautiful but I also love all the fun activities there are too. Perfect for families.
