A special thank you to Visit Gatlinburg for sponsoring this blog post. All opinions are our own.

Gatlinburg, TN has long been a favorite of ours to visit. Having been married in Sevier Co.,  with our honeymoon in Gatlinburg, and family trips hiking in Great Smoky Mountain National Park, it has been a special place to visit for our family routinely.

There is something extra special about Spring in Gatlinburg. This unique mountain city has so much charm and character. Add in all the blooms and it’s such a beautiful time of year to visit.

If you are looking for a destination for family fun, amazing food, and nature focus you have the right place in mind with Gatlinburg. We had the most amazing time enjoying our cabin stay, exploring the heart of Gatlinburg with shops and eateries, and looking for florals in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Below you will find some of our favorites from the trip!

After our road trip from Kentucky, we were excited to find our home away from home. We stayed in a spacious @stonybrook cabin that was perfectly located to all things downtown and the entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park. The Smoky Mountain WOW cabin is a beautiful property plus they are pet friendly too! They were so welcoming to our Bella 🐕🐾

We took in the sights and explored our cabin, then we were off to dinner at @cherokeegrill. This was the perfect way to fuel our evening of fun! The atmosphere was beautiful and it was located right in the heart of Gatlinburg. They have an elaborate menu and wonderful gluten free options like salad, quinoa & rice, baked potatoes, and more!

Once we were full we headed just a little down the road to downtown Gatlinburg’s @ripleysaquarium for a night stroll through the exhibits. The kids loved exploring and learning along the way. It was such a soothing experience being after dark!

After an amazing night's sleep, we had breakfast with @crockettsbreakfastcamp! This unique eatery offers an Appalachian inspired breakfast. Think super thick pancakes, hearty sides like potatoes and the most loved fruit options like the fresh fruit bowl and multiple fruit juices! Yum!

We spent the morning enjoying the cabin, some family time, and a game sesh in the game room!

Lunch at @Howardrestaurantgatlinburg was so fun. Howard’s is Gatlinburg’s oldest restaurant! How cool is that?

They had several gluten-free options which were amazing. The Garden salad with raspberry dressing, maple carrots and sautéed vegetable medley was so lovely. Howard’s is nestled on a creekside for beautiful views, an optional outdoor patio dining area that is also pet friendly and it has a charming rustic feel overall. This is a must do!

After a morning of play, exploring @visitgatlinburg downtown, and fueling up on delicious eats, it was time to go into Great Smoky Mountains National Park in search of botanical, floral, and nature finds.

The @wildflower_pilgrimage was held during our stay making it even more special. The Annual Wildflower Pilgrimage features professional and self guided walks, learning opportunities, and exhibits exploring the region's natural and cultural resources.

Once we finished our time in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, we headed to dinner at @nowayjosescantina in downtown Gatlinburg. This was a perfect end to our day before settling back into the cabin. You have to try the Caribbean Veggie Fajitas full of fresh veggies 🥦🥕🫑So good!

On our last morning, before heading back to Kentucky, we stopped by Smoky Mountain Coffee & Creamery for a breakfast road trip bite! This darling shop is pet friendly and has a delicious menu. They even gave Bella her own pup cup 🐕The Mango Almond Smoothie was the perfect gluten & dairy free treat find! We can’t wait to come back and try another smoothie!

We had the best time during our stay. Though we were sad to see it end, we are already planning our next visit to the charming city Gatlinburg, TN.

Spring really is such a perfect time to visit Gatlinburg. The Smokies with blooming wildflowers and fresh green scenery are absolutely beautiful. Your cabin stay sounds amazing, especially being so close to downtown and the national park. And now I’m craving those giant pancakes from Crockett’s Breakfast Camp!

This made me want to pack a bag and head straight to the Smokies. You captured springtime in Gatlinburg so beautifully with the mix of mountain scenery, family adventures, cozy moments, and local charm really comes through. I especially loved the way you highlighted the simple moments by the river and in the cabin!

Your photos and storytelling make the entire trip feel both peaceful and fun, and I appreciated that it felt authentic rather than overly “touristy.”

Your photos are lovely. The essence of spring, the greenery and the food using fresh produce comes alive.
